Koulun hyvinvointiprofiili stores two kinds of data in order to fulfill its service:
- Information about the administrators of schools (user accounts)
- Answers received through the questionnaires, which don't include personal information.
The information regarding school administrators contain first- and lastname, email and a password. The password has been encrypted in a manner which makes it impossible to be read afterwards even by the service developers (hash-function). The school administrator information is not provided to any outside party. Only the administrators of the same school know else is administering it.
Answers given through the questionnaires are stored in a database, but these answers do not contain any personal information. However in cases where there are very few answers provided in a certain group, it's possible to deduct the identity of the answerer (e.g. in a class where there is only one girl). In these cases the service will not show the answer data for the particular rows in order to protect the identity of the individuals.
All the data is stored within the EU and the database is not accessible from the outside.
The school administrator information is kept as long as the user account is active. The user account owner has the right to check and amend their information. This can be easily done through the profile page in the service.
The results of an individual school are visible only to the school itself and the identifiable data are never used for research or any other purposes without the permission of the school. Anonymized data, where the school cannot be identified, is used for producing comparisons and maybe used for scientific research purposes.
